Will republicans be sad when the democrats maintain congress, and win the Presidency, in 2008?

I mean, we'll again have a balanced budget, seek peaceful diplomatic ties around the globe, not start unneccesary wars abroad, address important domestic issues at home, and grow the economy steadily. How will the republicans satisfy their unnatural urges for false patriotism?
