Yesterday was my first experience of track and field, and it was quite exhilerating :). I decided after warming up 800m and stretching that I go for the high jump. I did it at three feet, since I'm a beginner, and I got over it after two tries. Now, today, my neck just hurts and I feel like I pulled all my neck muscles, and when i do crunches, it hurts. The pain has spread to my shoulder blades and I can barely bend my head down now. Should I give the jumps up or wait? What should I do to speed up the recovery procesS?
