If our company closed can we be sued for the balance of the lease agreement after we vacated the space?

our company closed operations and we left our space - we had informed the landlord several times months before leaving as business was bad. a personal guarantee was given only for one year and we were at that space for one year. the lease is for 3 years. what are the chances they can sue for the balance when the company was closed due to declining business and the personal guarantee was only for a year?
