Iran and nuclear weapons?

If Iran is a regime that is thought of as "crazy" and not to be trusted, then perhaps, the reactionary right wing should not have anything to worry about regarding Iran's recent announcements about its supposed "advances" in nuclear technology. After all, the Iranians could simply be planting a ruse to get the US and UN to act irrationally. Maybe they might take a page from Kim Jong-il's book and resort to diplomatic blackmail to get what they want.
